Rural

SoM will be equally focussed on Rural and Urban populations, after all, everyone wants Happiness and thus need Spirituality.

SOM's IDEAS FOR RURAL POPULATION:

• INNOVATIVE TECH

Innovative ways that use technology and AI for helping rural communities to fix their financial, educational, and other problems. Impact of Non-profits these days are limited by the number of volunteers and funds. Due to this, even though there are so many NGOs in India, they are not able to reach most villages and most of the poor people. Innovative use of Technology & AI can help them reach vast number of rural people, with limited human-resource.

For Example: Urban people, with the use of technology, can be made more aware of the lives and challenges of the nearby rural communities. Once they feel connected, they will feel more ready to help them, visit them, trust them, and fund projects to help nearby poor.

• SOM's SCHOOLS & COLLEGES

These will be different than SOM's schools for urban population and will focus on problems faced by rural children & youth. Donated technology like smart phones are likely to be used to make education technology-based.

• GLOBAL ONLINE LIFE-UNIVERSITY IN LOCAL LANGUAGES

Rural children and youth will be able to take full advantage of the SoM's Global Online Life-University Platform using smartphone.

• DE-ADDICTION PROGRAMS

Addiction is a major problem in villages these days, especially around Punjab and Haryana. SoM will have special de-addiction programs for Rural Youth.

Academic Education problems in Rural Communities (India)

Achievement Gap

Children from rural communities lag behind children from urban communities in academic learning by a great margin. This is called Achievement Gap

Out of all children in India, urban and rural combined, about 50% Students in Class 5 can not read Class 2 level text like letters, words or a simple paragraph. If a child of 5th class can't read or write, how will he understand his text books or what is being taught in the class and how will he give exams? The teacher anyways would focus only on 5th class syllabus so the child would never able to cover up.
As per the government rules, he can not be failed. He will be passed to the next class and to the next until he reaches 10th and fails in the Board exams.
